Description: Pecos River has built a Delta at it's confluence with the Rio Grande partly because of times of.higher water backing up from Amistad Reservoir and from flooding events on the Pecos carrying large amounts of sand. The Delta has emergent fresh water vegetation and scrub-shrub sand bar Willow dominating.
